In Consulting Inmoboliario Gilmar we continue with our optimistic approach, trust and hard work, especially at this difficult time for the building sector and the economy in general.

We have recently opened our new office in Boadilla del Monte.

At this time, GILMAR is going back to its origins and takes itself back to the place it was first established in1983. 25 years have gone by and now with the perspective of a job well done, the experience acquired during this time, and a great number of friends with whom we have grown and developed, we have inaugurated a work that depicts a plan of La Moraleja by artists Gallego and Rey.

The work of art is designed by graphic humorists Gallego and Rey, realised in ceramic tiles and hand painted by ceramic artist Antonio Alferez.

"The mural of La Moraleja", showing at our office in Plaza de la Moraleja was presented by the Mayor of Alcobendas, Mr Ignacio Garcia de Vinuesa. At the ceremony were also present Mr Gallego and Mr Rey and the Chief Executive of Gilmar Consulting Inmobiliario: Mr Jesus Gil Marin and Mr Manuel Marron Fuertes; also present were the Managing Director, Mr Jose Luis Perez Cremadas and Antonio Garcia, President of Niesa.

Representing the Council of Alcobendas was Ms Maria Felicidad PalacioVela, the City Councillor for Immigration and Women and District Developments (Urbanization), as well as the media, who joined us to celebrate our 25th anniversary.

In his speech, the mayor noted that apart from La Moraleja, there are at the moment a lot of important things going on in Alcobendas, one of them being the economic activity, information unknown to the public, such as the fact that there are 110,000 inhabitants living here of which 102,000 are registered to the social security. At the same time, he noted the fact that GILMAR, despite the economic recession, has been a real fighter for the local community and has put Alcobendas on the map. The mayor thanked all the workers and also Mr A Garcia who inaugurated the magnificent urbanization that has contributed so much to Alcobendas, and assured that together we will beat the recession.

At the same time, Mr Jose Maria Gallego expressed that he was amazed by the perfection of the art work “...sometimes it is difficult to see a version of one’s own work. To see it so faithfully reproduced is surprising. It is a beautiful work of art, I am very proud of the fact that it is shown here..."

Mr Rey said in his speech, "... I would like to thank His Majesty the King Juan Carlos for his unbiased collaboration (...) at this difficult time for the economy, I am very proud of the factors that have made this mural. We all need a bit of optimism and here we can see our dreams come true"

In view of the seriousness of the economic situation in the building sector and taking into account all the negative news such as the constant closure of companies and franchises that are virtually disappearing, etc, we consider that at such difficult times, any positive information helps to discern a prosperous future and must be broadcasted with the same intensity as negative news.

We are accustomed to read or hear negative information and this is building a sense of extreme worry. To celebrate the fact that we are very proud to have reached our 25th Silver Anniversary this year at Gilmar Consulting Inmobiliario, we have included in our business plan new acts such as the sponsorship of “Master de Tenis de La Comunidad de Madrid”, held at the Palacio de Deportes in March of this year, as well as “Chefs of Spain Championship”.

For the past ten years we have had a stand at the Salon Inmobiliario de Madrid ‘SIMA’, and were involved in the ‘98th International Show Jumping Competition’ at the Club de Campo in Madrid.

As well as having exclusive events for our clients, such as the ‘VI Gilmar tournament of Mus’, held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Madrid from the 9th – 13th June, in which participated more than 130 couples, at the same time our commercial network is expanding with two more offices to join our existing 15 offices. One in Boadilla del Monte, clorieta Virgen Maria, 7, and the other in Arturo Soria, 294, Madrid.

Monday, the 22nd September was a very important date for GILMAR and also for the building trade. It is very good news! The Mayor, Mr Arturo Gonzalez Panero inaugurated our new office in the most prominent area of town. According to the Mayor, the incorporation of private businesses in the area means that the public can have access to many different services that may be needed in Boadilla. He added, “..despite the difficult period we are going through in this sector, GILMAR, I am sure, will be a clear example of the development of Boadilla”.

The ceremony was attended by our Chief Executives, Mr Jesus Gil and M Manuel Marron Fuertes, and the Managing Director, Mr Jose Luis Perez Cremades. Representing the council were Ms Belen Humera, Second Deputy to the Mayor with responsibility for the Department of Education and Family, Mr Pablo Cereijo, Deputy to the Mayor with responsibility for Urban Development, Mr Ramon Gonzalez Bosch, fifth Deputy to the Mayor responsible for the Department of Public Safety and Jurisdictional Affairs, and the Council Managing Director, Mr Tomas Marin.

We would like to thank all those who participated in this new project and for their support and assure them that will always be welcome at GILMAR. We carry the guarantee of 25 years that makes us leaders in the market.

Gran Campeonato de Mus 2008

The day was coming to an end, it was nearly 8 o’clock in the evening but the most exciting part of the day was yet to come. Everyone at the meeting room in the Intercontinental Hotel was nervous as more than 400 people were hoping to win the first prize of a Caribbean cruise. As is the custom in Mus, we bluffed as well as having a good time while trying to achieve a winning streak.

Once we knew which table we were playing at, my partner and I were discussing how crucial it was to keep calm and the importance of taking part. I have to be honest, I really wanted to win and so did my partner, I know him really well. We greeted everyone and introduced ourselves and also joked to break the ice. As we started to play, the cards were dealt at random. As well as skill Mus relies on a lot of luck and our luck fluctuated throughout the evening. First with us, then against us, but game by game we eventually beat the Chinese team. We have won! Today has been a magical day and the best part is yet to come tomorrow!

Sponsorship and List of Achievements

The main prize sponsored by GILMAR, consisted of a Caribbean cruise (Madrid – Miami – Madrid). Our customers, Fernando Tostado and Jesus Antolin won the prize! Congratulations to both of you!

The second prize was sponsored by the newspaper El Mundo. The prize consisted of a trip to Santo Domingo. The lucky winners were Juanito Navarro and Juan Gomez.

Third prize, sponsored by Plaza Removals, consisted of a sailing cruise in Rias Bajas. The winners were Cesar de Diego and our customer, Enrique Carrero.

Fourth prize, sponsored by New Travel Agency, consisted of a weekend in the Canary Islands. The winners were Ms Salud Hidalgo and Mr Alfonso Baja.

Fifth prize, consisted of two exclusive Jabugo cured hams and were sponsored by A Castro y Gonzalez and the winner was Jose Tomas Mateos and Jose Toledo Saiz.

Sixth, Seventh and Eighth prizes were sponsored by Spa Premier, Cano y Merced, and Restaurant Urrechu , respectively.

The winner of the magnificent cruise in the biggest passenger cruise ship, Liberty of the Seas, was Ms Cassandra Alonso-Misel Gerlache of Madrid.
