Ciudad Jardín is a neighbourhood in the district of Chamartín, located in the north-eastern area of the city of Madrid, and adjacent to the districts of Viso and Salamanca.
The district of Ciudad Jardín is historically linked to Prosperidad. Since 1898, the current Ciudad Jardín was integrated into the district of Prosperidad, which belonged to the district of Buenavista, without any differentiation. In 1955 the Madrid City Council added the village of Chamartín de la Rosa to the municipality as a new district, incorporating the district of Prosperidad. A municipal decree of 1987 divided Prosperidad into two distinct neighbourhoods, Prosperidad and Ciudad Jardín, using Calle López de Hoyos, the road and commercial axis of the original neighbourhood, as its boundary.

Line 4 borders the neighbourhood to the south, with stops at Prosperidad and Alfonso XIII.
Line 9 borders the neighbourhood to the west, with stops at Cruz del Rayo and Concha Espina.
