In the winter, while most countries drop below zero, temperatures here are around 8 \u00baC. There are even more impressive facts about the weather. For example, the <strong>Costa del Sol has 300 days of sun a year<\/strong>, with an <strong>average annual temperature of around 24<\/strong><strong> \u00b0<\/strong>C. So, if you want to escape the cold, Spain is the place for you.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Food_for_everyone\"><\/span><strong>Food for everyone<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Spanish cuisine is <strong>one of the richest and most varied in the world<\/strong>. Hundreds of new flavours are waiting to be discovered: the <strong>Costa del Sol skewers<\/strong>, <strong>ham<\/strong>, <strong>paella<\/strong>, <strong>Spanish omelette,<\/strong> <strong>churros and hot chocolate<\/strong>&#8230; These are just some of the most famous dishes but they give you an idea of the quality and variety of food in this country.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Quality_of_life\"><\/span><strong>Quality of life<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>As well as the weather and the food, there are also <strong>the friendly locals<\/strong> and the <strong>wide variety of leisure activities<\/strong>. Thanks to the many hours of sun and the pleasant temperatures, a lot of life happens outside. It is also a country where you can <strong>live a peaceful and healthy lifestyle<\/strong>: golf courses, tennis courts in residential developments, hiking trails&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>And as if all that wasn\u2019t enough, one of the main draws is the <strong>sea<\/strong>. On the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.andalucia.org\/es\/playas\/costa-del-sol\/\">Costa del Sol<\/a> you can mix with friendly locals just a few metres away from the <strong>Mediterranean<\/strong>. Many think it\u2019s paradise and you can see why. Who wouldn\u2019t want to live in a sunny place, with reasonable living costs and the beach 5 minutes away?<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Competitive_prices\"><\/span><strong>Competitive prices<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Although prices can vary from place to place, in general, Spain is a cheap country compared to some of its European neighbours. If you have plenty of money to spend, you can enjoy a <strong>higher standard of living<\/strong> than you could at home.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Culture\"><\/span><strong>Culture<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Spanish culture is extremely varied. It is the birthplace of great <strong>artists<\/strong> like Picasso, Dal\u00ed and Vel\u00e1zquez. It is also home to some of the most important <strong>buildings<\/strong> in the world (some of which are World Heritage Sites) like the Alhambra or the Sagrada Familia and cathedrals like the one in Santiago de Compostela.<\/p>\n<p>Spain\u2019s <strong>history<\/strong> is also rich and varied, with Visigoth, Roman and Arab roots, among many others.
