Minors must have the corresponding parental permission.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you are from outside the EU<\/strong> you can stay for a maximum of 90 days, and people from some countries will need a valid visa. Citizens from other countries must give a reason for their trip, say where they will be, give conditions of their stay and prove that they have sufficient finances. You can check these conditions with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n<p>You must have <strong>travel insurance<\/strong> and you should consult the Spanish consulate or Embassy to check the requirements. These may change from time to time.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Do_you_have_to_get_vaccinated_to_travel_to_Spain\"><\/span><strong>Do you have to get vaccinated to travel to Spain?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>No.<\/strong> As in any country you should be vaccinated against <strong>tetanus<\/strong>, especially if you are going to be outdoors or in a rural environment. And you must have your <strong>vaccination record up to date<\/strong>. But that is all. The authorities in this country sometimes request a medical examination for some travellers to ensure they do not suffer from any diseases included in the International Health Regulations.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_can_you_bring_to_Spain_from_your_country\"><\/span><strong>What can you bring to Spain from your country?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>If you are from the European Union<\/strong>, almost anything. Always within the legally permitted amounts, obviously. For example, tobacco and alcohol is regulated.<\/p>\n<p>But <strong>if you are from outside the EU<\/strong>, you cannot bring animal products. You can only bring goods for personal use or as a gift, and these are checked by customs personnel. If the amount of money is more than 10,000 euros, you must declare it.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Can_you_bring_your_pet_to_Spain\"><\/span><strong>Can you bring your pet to Spain?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Animals can travel <\/strong>by following three rules:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; They must be <strong>accompanied<\/strong> by the owner.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Dogs, cats and ferrets must be <strong>identified<\/strong> with a microchip.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; They must have a <strong>veterinary certificate<\/strong> or passport depending on their species: they must be vaccinated.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Final_recommendations\"><\/span><strong>Final recommendations<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>We suggest planning your trip with enough time to make sure your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spain.info\/es\/informacion-practica\/consejos-viaje\/consejos-practicos\/requisitos\/\"><strong>documents are up to date<\/strong><\/a>. Try to organise your trip in such a way that you can prove you are travelling as a tourist.<\/p>\n<p>You can choose to visit the big cities, rural areas, beaches, nature or a combination; Spain has all of these things to offer. This is also a country with transport links to all areas by plane, train or, for the more remote places, by bus.
